0 YSL Youth liberator Serum foundation

When I first heard that YSL was coming out with the youth liberator serum foundation, i was pretty excited bout it as I am current using their youth liberator skincare series which I really love as it helped my skin become more smooth and firm than before.

Basically, as the name goes, this foundation includes their youth liberator serum (glycans or youth keys) in it to for firming, anti-wrinkle and smoothing effect.

Features
1. Provides medium-buildable coverage (slightly more coverage than Le teint touche eclat
foundation, but i wouldnt call it full-full coverage, but it does help to cover up my pores
    and evening the skin tone)
2. Gives a natural finish (as compared to Le teint touche eclat foundation which gives more
of a high shine dewy finish)

Lasting power
1. About 8hrs of wear with a setting powder over it
2. Although this  doesn't claim to be sweat resistant, but when i danced vigorously and
sweated quite bit, it still stayed on the face without unning.

Conclusion
When I wear this, I received a lot of compliments on how good my skin was, so I will definitely be buying this again and again. I personally prefer to use this without powder on my cheek areas (with only some powder on the T-zone area, as my T-zone area tends to get oily after a while). The shade I bought was B20 (yellow toned), slightly fair on me at first, but after some time it settles and blends quite nicely into my skin. Recommend people with combination-oily skin to use an oil control primer below for even more lasting power

0 YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation

After getting a sample of this to try from the store, I fell in love totally with this foundation and ended up going back to the store to buy the full size bottle of this foundation.

What I like about this foundation is that it is lightweight (I hate foundations that feel heavy on my skin), and for once I actually quite like the light scent of this foundation (the scent kinda reminds me of the scent of watermelon XD ). Being a lightweight foundation, the coverage it gives is towards to sheer side (slightly more coverage than the average tinted moisturizer but less than other foundations)

It also gives a nice dewy finish without looking too oily or shiny. It evens out my skin way much better than the MAC mineralized satinfinish foundation which also has a dewy finish (but I find myself turning shiny much faster when I use the mineralized satin as compared to YSL le teint touche elcat foundation). I am totally loving the finish it gives my skin - a dewy, flawless finish while evening out my skin @ the same time without turning patchy or cakey. And it does not oxidise on me.

I am an NC20, but I chose BR30 (which is a pink undertone) coz I wanted the pink tones in the foundation to neutralized my yellow tone in my skin and it works pretty well. BR30 (BR30 stands for Beige Rose btw) may look dark in the bottle, but it blends into my skin perfectly. Will be buying this foundation again and again. This is Holy grail status for me. I LOVE this more than the other foundations I tried.

Do note that this does not have much oil control though, so if u have oily skin, but still wanna try this foundation, do use an oil control primer prior to this.

And btw... I am late butt... Merry Belated Xmas!

0 Clinique Derma White Bright C Stick Make up Spf 15

Received this as a super early xmas gift from one of my dear close friends. (THnx very much babe XD ). I have never used a stick foundation before (I prefer liquid foundations) as I have always thought that most of the stick foundations on the market would be too thick for my liking. But this stick foundation from Clinique proved me wrong. It applied quite lightweight on my skin without feeling heavy @ all. And having a combination-dry skin, I find this foundation quite moisturisng on my skin and does not cake up like some cream foundatios do.

Advantages of this product:
- Cream stick foundation that has whitening properties
- Contains a high concentration of Vit C and Vit E @ the centre of the stick (the white portion) to help brighten and soothe skin
- Helps to reduce shine immediate ly resistant to hot and humid water
- Gives sheer to medium coverage (depending on how much u layer)

What I like about this product:
- Gives some coverage without looking too thick or cakey on the face
- Moisturising on my combination-dry skin
- Lasts quite well in the humid weather over in my country with some loose powder dusted over it. In air condition room, I can even skip the powder on the drier parts of my face
- Glides on smoothly onto the face, Easy to blend
- Does help to brighten the skin after applying and after 2 weeks of using this foundation I can see my face look slightly brighter than before (perhaps due to the Vit C and Vit E in this product)
- Packaging is very compact. Easy for on the go, if I travel

What I dislike:
Basically I can't fault much about this product coz I do honestly quite like this foundation.

0 Laurer Mercier Illuminating tinted moisturiser

Got my friend to order this online from their website (LM is about 20% more expensive in my country) as I wanted to try out their tinted moisturizer.

All I can say is that eh erm.. I should have ordered the non-illuminating tinted moisturizer. I have pretty dry skin on my face (except the T-zone which is oily) and I still find that IF i over apply on my cheek areas, it makes me look WAY TOO GLOWY lol... Not very flattering. A little goes a long way for this product for me. It's nice when I use it in small amt though.

Definitely won't recommend this to people with oily skin, coz it will even make u more GLOWY... which is the last thing u want if u have oily skin. And it does not have any oil control. I will use this only for my cheek areas which are more dry, as for my T-zone, I would use other product as I find that it's jus too glowy for my T-zone lol! But I like the glow it gives on my cheeks. So I may use this to mix with my regular foundie for a subtle glow.

Lasting power is so-so, require touch up of powder after about 4hrs plus.

It comes in a pretty big tube of 50ml, and with the small amt needed, I can see this lasting me for ages...

Recommend this to people who like the glowy finish and with normal to dry skin. Ladies with oily skin and large pores, stay away from this as the sheen in this may emphasize the imperfections in the skin :X

0 Dr Jart BB cream - Black Label

Received this as a gift from a friend quite sometime back.....  To be honest, I don't get what the hype is over this BB cream craze in asia. Some (like this one I have) claims to have whitening and anti-ageing effects while others claim to moisturise the skin and etc etc. I still see no difference between these BB creams and foundations.... Just that some have lighter coverage and some have heavier coverage. BB cream to me is just a more fancy name for foundations.

This Dr Jart BB cream claims to give whitening and anti-ageing effects. But I have not seen any much changes to my skin after using this. I don't look any whiter nor do I have less lines on my face (not that i am THAT old). So thumbs down for its claims.

Texture wise: It's quite thick and paste like. So a little goes a long way, It feels more thick n heavy than some of my liquid foundations and gives medium coverage. It is long lasting and has average oil control. It has a pink-beige undertone, so it helps to tone down my yellow undertones in my skin when I'm wearing it

All in All, I wouldn't repurchase this again as I find this texture to be a bit thick to be worn on a daily basis and besides, I don't see any of the whitening or anti ageing properties that it claims to give. I rather use a color corrector of a thinner texture to correct the color of my skin undertone rather than this BB cream.

0 MAC Pro longwear Foundation

Not really into foundations, but I decided to try this one out after reading good reviews about this foundation.

It is supposedly to last up to 15hours and is sweat resistant and helps to control oil on the face and gives buildable medium coverage.
My comments after a week of using this foundation:

1. I find this to be a tad more orangy / yellow than my MAC mineralized satin and cream (using NC20 in both the mineralied satin and pro longwear foundation),

2. It looks very nice n flawless when first applied, but after a few hrs, it has a tendency (even with a primer) to cake up slightly. Not a nice sight especially when u have slightly dry skin as it will enhance the flakes on the skin...... :X :X
3. It does last longer on the face. Less touch ups is needed.

4. It is mattifying, Not recommended for people with dry skin.
Overall rating: 3/5

Would i repurchse this again: Probably Not. I personally prefer the mineralized satin / cream and face and body foundation to this as they don't cake up on my skin.

0 MAC mineralized satin liquid foundation SPF 15

Received this in a swap with my friend. It's quite a good product but definitely not for those with oily skin and those who need coverage. Here's my comment on the product:

Finish:
1. Gives a natural sheer satin finish
2. Contains 72 minerals in it

Recommended for:
1. People with normal to dry skin as it's moisturising for the skin
2. People who want a lightweight foundation to even out the skin but do not need the coverage
3. People who want a dewy look

Not recommended for:
1. People with oily skin. It does not have much oil control unfortunately ....
2. If u need coverage, this is also not for you as it's also pretty sheer.

Left side: no foundation, right side with foundation

As you can see from the picture (if u see carefully), this foundation has a satin finish with a slight sheen to it. So if u want a totally matte finish, this foundation is not for you, unless u use a mattifying face powder over it.

Generally, I like the lightweight texture of this foundation and would repurchase when I finish this. And it does not settle into my pores or fine lines like some liquid foundation do.

0 Covermark Basic formula foundation

Although Covermark says it's a foundation, but I find it too thick for my liking to be used on my whole face.

Here's the pic of the product.

Features of product (as stated on the Covermark's website)
1.Thoroughly covers dark spots, freckles, Dullness
2. Sweat and Water resistant. Long lasting
3. Blocks UV Rays. SPF33 PA+++
4. Breathable foundation that doesn't burden the skin ( Hmmm PROVIDED if u use Sparingly)
5. Contains plant extract (panax ginseng, peach kernel, hoelen, aloe) to keep the skin moist while wearing make up

Pros (My comments):
1. Does a wonderful job in concealing my horrible dark undereye circle, Would recommend this for people who need to conceal acne marks or pigmentation. as it has very good coverage
2. Non drying nor oily on the skin... has a very nice creamy texture

Cons:
1. Quite thick, can bit a bit cakey if over applied. Have to blend well.
2. Tried using this as a foundation on my whole face, didn't really like the feeling -  Felt thick and heavy on my skin even though i used SPARINGLY.

Available in Japan and other Asian countries. Not too sure whether this product is available out of Asia though

0 Giorgo Armani liquid foundation in face fabric

Heard many rave reviews on Giorgo Armani's foundation and got a friend to CP (custom purchase) this for me from Hong Kong as it is not available in Singapore. And after using this for several times, I have to say that I love this foundation.

Pros:
1. It contains silica so it really goes on very smooth on the face. Makes me feel like keep wanting to touch my face again and again cause it feels oh so smooth on the face.
2. Softens and diminuishes any imperfections on the face e.g. large pores (mainly due to the presence of silica which helps to fill in the fine lines and holes)
3. Easy to blend and lightweight
4. Mattifying, oil control is pretty decent as compared to non silica based foundations
5. Non-drying (both combi and dry skin people can use this)
6. Provides medium coverage

Cons:
1. Expensive (Again, Price is not much of an issue for me as long as the product works for me)

Would re purchase this again IF i ever finish this which i doubt so as I have quite a number of foundations to rotate and finish. I suspect the color i bought is jus slightly darker for me. But I corrected it by using a purple loose powder over it to brighten my face, so no issues with the color shade

0 MAC mineralized cream foundation SPF 15

I'm not a fan of powder foundations as I find that they don't really even out the skintone as well as conventional liquid or cream foundations.

What I like about MAC's mineralized cream foundation is :
1. It comes in a really HANDY compact (especially good for travelling)
2. It is VERY blendable....much more blendable than the Studio tech which kinda feels a bit thicker and also harder to blend
3. Coverage can be built up without looking cakey / thick
4. Gives a very natural, even and nice satiny finish.

Con:
1. I can't say much about oil control, as with ALL foundations that i've ever tried my nose always
turn shiny after a few hrs. But this is not much of an issue as my skin is leaning more towards dry rather than oily.

It's definitely has more coverage than the mineralized satin liquid foundation though. It feels pretty light on the skin and is very good for everyday wear. I would repurchase this foundation if i'm ever done with this foundation as i have quite a number of foundations to finish.

Last but not least, the mineralized cream foundation runs slightly darker than the studio fix powder. So if u are a NC35 in studio fix powder foundation, you would have to get a shade lighter - NC30 in the mineralized cream foundation.

2 Shu Uemura Face architect liquid foundation

Ever since i bought it about 3 mths back, i've been faithfully using it almost everyday (It was only about a mth ago when i bought MAC's face n body foundation, that I sorta neglected it for a while...but now i'm back to it...).

Pros: Texture is smooth and feels pretty light on the skin although it's definitely not as lightweight as MAC's face and body foundation. It provides medium coverage (So if u are looking for full coverage, i dun think this is the foundation for ya...) and lasts pretty much on me the whole day without oxidising much.

Cons: Not much oil control.

Would repurchase this again and again. Have not broken out from this foundation and it evens out my skintone nicely while giving it a smooth feel. Good for days when i want some coverage... Would wear MAC's face n body foundation on days when i'm in the mood for really
"sheer" make up.

0 MAC face and body foundation

Recently just bought this foundation from MAC called the face and body foundation.

Yeah, so basically it's a REALLY REALLY sheer foundation that is so lightweight that u don't feel like you are wearing foundation on the face

And also because it's a really sheer foundation, I would only recommend this to people with normal skin who don't need much coverage and also with normal to dry skin. In fact when i compared this to my MAC select tint (a tinted moisturizer) which i have previously used, it's even lighter than that.

No complains about this product as it evens out my skintone nicely. But for people who are looking for coverage, this is definitely NOT the foundation as its coverage is pretty sheer. Recommended to people with who do not need coverage. Finish is smooth and lightweight.

And yep, since this is a face AND body foundation, u can use this over your body as well. It comes in a pretty big bottle of 120ml... And unless you are using this for the body as well, one bottle of this can last a pretty long time. Damage: S$58

Edited: I have been using this everyday for a few days now together with my MUFE translucent setting powder and I love love love the sheer, flawless and smooth look this liquid foundation gives. Feel so lightweight on my skin. My new Holy Grail now!
